ECRC~SIMEC – Ottawa office has a vacancy for a Health and Safety Coordinator.

The Health and Safety (H&S) Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of the Corporation’s H&S Loss Control programs including program amelioration, regulatory compliance, its maintenance and training material for the program supporting for day to day operations and response capability. Responsibilities include planning, development and maintenance of specialized H&S strategies, procedures, guidelines and related support for the Corporation’s response capability. Coordinates the activities associated with the H&S/Loss Control Coordination Committee and is a member of the Spill Management Team for marine oil spill responses.

Salary to be commensurate with skills and experience.

ECRC-SIMEC, Quebec response Centre has a vacancy for an Operations and Geomatics support.

Responsibilities are focused on oil spill response preparedness activities, including the design of thematic maps, support of the geographic information system (GIS), management of databases for regional plans, support for the development and update of regional plans in Quebec, participation in oil spill response training and field activities.
