Operations Support – Dartmouth

ECRC~SIMEC – Atlantic Region has a position for an Operations Support person for the Dartmouth Response Centre, based in Woodside Industrial Park, Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. The position is focused on training responders for oil spill response readiness. Other support activities may include maintenance and testing of oil spill response equipment and response preparedness planning.

Operations Support – Sept-Iles (Québec)

ECRC~SIMEC has one position available for Operations Support personnel for its office in Sept-Iles (Québec), The position is focused on oil spill response preparedness activities, maintenance and testing of oil spill response equipment, facility maintenance and training of oil spill responders. During oil spill response events, the position is part of the ECRC~SIMEC spill management team.

Response Centre Manager (RCM) – Verchères (Québec)

ECRC~SIMEC has a position available for a Response Centre Manager (RCM) for its office in Verchères (Québec). The RCM is in charge for developing and maintaining the state of preparedness for oil spill response in the marine environment for the Montreal area. With the assistance of a team of 3, the manager ensures the maintenance of the equipment, develops and implements a training program for 80 contractors and updates the regional area plans and response strategies. The manager undertakes locally the contact with the clients and the governmental agencies involved. During oil spill response in the area, the RCM will provide the initial response and will join the ECRC ~ SIMEC Spill Management Team.
